Dealing With People Unsubscribing From Your List

So you have been building up your mailing list steadily over a few months. You are feeling satisfied with your progress and have been keeping in good contact with your list. Till one day you send out a mail shot and receive a few notifications of unsubscribers. Straight away you feel a bit insecure and wonder if you have done something wrong to make these people unsubscribe from your list.

Well take it from me, don’t worry about it!

People unsubscribe all the time, and the way I see it is that if they are unsubscribing they are actually doing me a favour in the long run as they probably wouldn’t be buying any of my products anyway.

I used to worry just as much when people were unsubscribing and actually used to take it personally. I would almost feel like emailing them to find out why, however after a long time doing internet marketing I learnt not to worry about.

People’s interests change all the time. Some people may have tried to do something in your niche and were really interested at the time of subscribing however a few months down the line they might have lost interest. Hence they won’t want any emails about it.

Never take it personally, just make sure not to overkill your list with too many emails and you won’t get that many unsubscribers in the long run. It’s when you get tons of people unsubscribing every time you send out an email is the time to worry!
