5 Treasures of Networking

Recently I’ve been thinking about what would be some of the “treasures” of networking. Now based on my experiences and through research here is what I have come up with. Networking can sometimes be under looked by most people which is ok because there was a time when I had never before heard of the phrase or even knew it existed. Today with the internet involved networking has become a lot easier as far as reaching out to people. Think about this there are over 360 million users on the internet in the world total out of that in north America there are over 108 million users! The internet has totally changed the way the world works and as I said networking on the internet right now is definitely a way to go whether it be business related or just simply having a presence online. Now the listings of these “treasures” is irrelevant being that they all intermingle with each other.

Here is what I’ve come up with, the first treasure would be The People. Online you have the opportunity to talk to people, not just in your own neighborhood or even your own city but from all over the world. Now if your networking is business related this opens up a huge market for you and your business. Whether it is or isn’t doesn’t really matter the relationships you can develop become a huge treasure in itself. With these new relationships forming their is endless possibilities. There can be influence, sharing information, tips, new learning experiences, business strategies, job opportunities, you name it it is all possible. Think about this, your life can totally be transformed within a matter of months or you can help transform someone else’s. What a treasure!

The second would have to be Impact. There is definitely a way to impact or influence someone when you are building these new relationships. There are a ton of people who love to learn and apply what they have learned just to see it work before their eyes. It can be simply be because you may have impacted them to push themselves a little bit harder. Have you ever thought about the impact that your testimony can have on someone? Everybody has one why not share it with the world. You will never know who, at just the right time, may have read your testimony and it may have helped them walk away from a bad habit, or relationship, or simply just help them get through their day. That truly is a treasure.

Here is the third which would be Change in Lifestyle. Now I’m going to attack the business side of this first which really is a simple one. If you are involved with a networking business your success in that business I hope would definitely alter your lifestyle for the better in more ways than one. If not seek some help find out how you can become successful and achieve what you intended to when you got involved with your business. If no one will help you feel free to contact myself I’m always willing to do what I can even if its just pointing in the right direction because I’ve been there before. Now for the other side, it really takes only one thing I believe to generally have a change in someone’s lifestyle and that is information. People will decide what to do based on information they hear or read. Now not all information is the right information but information is extremely valuable. Think about this a crooked line does not know its crooked, until it compares itself to a straight line and that is what information allows us to do, discover certain aspects of our life and be able to “tweak” them for the better. Definitely a treasure.

Ok this next one kind of favors the business side and it is Increasing Income. Even now with the internet being the way it is its opened up a brand new market to generate income so much that people now more than ever are being able to work from home! Many love the idea of just being able to work from home and create their own schedule. The internet can become a way for you to increase your income and give you ideas on how to sustain that income for years to come. Who wouldn’t like to see commas in their personal bank account? Who would just like to have more than one bank account, maybe one for bills and the other can be a required spending account or something, be creative and have fun with it. With increasing income a lot of doors begin to open up and enable you to accomplish your goals whether it be more family time, a new car, a new house, etc. Have some goals map out where you plan to go. A physical treasure.

Finally the last treasure I could think of which could have been the first is Leadership. Leadership is a quality greatly strived for by people who really want to make a difference. They are the ones who want to leave a legacy to be remembered by countless amounts of people. They want there stories to be passed down through generations. It is something that is achievable by great work. You can do this anywhere if you are willing to really work hard for it. Like anything it is going to take small steps, learning, changing your thinking, attitude, and who is going to be following you. You need to remember that followers seek leaders not the other way around. Leaders provide value for there followers and if you are one, think to yourself what are you providing and is it truly valuable. This is a mighty commitment but an outstanding treasure.
